Since life as we know it changed a little over a year ago now, that also means that our 9-5s have changed and many of us are living the new normal of Working From Home. This new way of work life has also drastically changed our daily routines including what we wear, as we are no longer getting into the car or taking transportation, stopping at Starbucks for a coffee, sitting in traffic or waiting for the next late train in a rush. Everything is done from home from start to finish and this can get a little repetitive… it’s easy to fall into a wardrobe slump especially since we don’t actually have to see anyone, in person that is.
It may seem simple to just throw on a nice top and call it a day for your morning zoom call but that can get old fast. I have put together a list of essential items that are perfect for working from home in a sense that they are comfortable yet classy. These staples can be mixed and matched, and with these items you will be able to create so many different outfits. These pieces are simple and effortless but at the same time smart and elegant. As you can see, the key elements here are simplicity, comfort, and practicality. When sticking to basic outfit staples you can interchange all the pieces and still have a very chic outcome. The theme I always like to go for when I’m in wardrobe slump and don’t really want to think too hard about an outfit ” gold earnings, simple style, comfortable shoes” and I think this can be easily achieved when working from home!
